Special museum awaits resurrection
National Museum of History began operation in 1955. For more than six decades, we have been working to provide the most updated and innovative service. Beginning on 2 July 2018, the Museum will be closed for a complete overhaul for about three years. We will renovate and reorganize the museum building, service function, and administration. We aim to provide elevated and enhanced service quality and administrative efficiency when we reopen to the public. “See you again in a promising future.” We apologize for not being able to serve you and your friends in this duration.

Bronze sculptures and tricolour horses
The National Museum of History was establised in 1955, the first history museum established in Taiwan. The building resembles structures from the Ming and Ching Dynasties. The Museum is in the Nanhai Academy, in the Zhongzheng District. The Museum is best known for its bronze sculptures and Tang Dynasty horses with tricolour glazes.

Very nice museum
It is definitely a must place to visit while in Taipei. The museum has great facility for visitor to enjoy and witness Chinese history aged as early as year 200 something.
