Ipora, Tacuarembo Department, Uruguay
4.5 (36 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Balneario Ipora Bodies of Water
An unexpected slice of paradise in the Uruguayan Heartland
The Ipora balneario is a completely artificial lake that is surrounded by parklands and forests, all created between 40-80 years ago by Felipe Alboronoz as a recreational site for the people of Tacuarembo. The site also hosts a hotel, Complejo Sepe, a restaurant, several swimming pools, and a residential area with about 200 houses. It is situated 6.5 km out of the city. For a peaceful couple of hours it is a perfect place.

Relax
My favourite place in the world. Such spaces provide opportunities for exercise, social interaction, relaxation and peace and quiet. This is a great chance to enjoy the lagoon and nature.
