This was the favorite Lake of the famous philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and not only. It is an amazing water changing color and mood very quickly but it is for sure one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Great Place wonderful Lake in every Saison
Sometimes turquoise, sometimes emerald green, while at other times deep blue. This Lake was loved by Nietzsche .... mind and soul will find peace here. Surrounding mountain peaks are at times reflected razor sharp in the lake. Between December and January, the lake freezes over and turns into a leisurely walk or becomes part of the marked cross-country ski trails. In autumn you will find best colors around this jewels on a altitude of 1800 meters.

I Love this Place!
I've had the opportunity to visit here a couple of times,and I must sat there's something about this area that really moves me. It could be the fresh mountain air,great hiking or simply being in a truly beautiful and peaceful place. I also have fond memories strolling around Sils im Engadin,there is a lovely cafe I have visited on a couple of occasions and several nice shops that are worth exploring.Overall the area has a very nice feeling and in my opinion is worth the visit for a few hours or days!
