Great walk with outstanding views
The Emosson Dam or as it is know Barrage d’Emosson is an amazing place. Partaking in the car park you wander to the main viewing platform where on the one side you have views of Mont Blanc and on the other the Dam itself. There is a great walk along the Dam wall and round the edge of the Dam then a nice climb up to the Lac Vieux D’Emossob. It took about three hours and is a 10km walk on a well structured path. It is an amazing walk and you will be rewarded with some of the most amazing views in the Valais!

Human knowhow
A beautiful example of human ingenuity. A highly built dam between mountain ranges. The route to the top by car is stunning but I bet the ride by train is even better. Nice day out for a family with small children and lots of places to take postcard like pictures
