Take the advanced trail from Hotel Kurhaus!
About a 1 1/2 hour hike along a twisting trail from the Arolla Hotel. Have a cup of hot chocolate at the rustic cafe there at Lac Bleu.

le lac bleu
from les gouilles you have a bit of a steep walk up to le lac bleu, it's a beautiful area, with picturesque scenery, ideal for a day out with kids, they have plenty of space to run around and it is safe whilst you make up the picnic spot. havent seen any place for a woodfire/bbq. the walk up and of course down is a bit steep so feel free to take along a walking stick or other pole. it took us 50 minutes to get up there with a 2yo, mainly carrying our child on our shoulders. you can swim if you feel brave because it is very cold.... it's an ideal warm up walk if you want to continue to the Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges. the walk to there from the lac bleu is not so steep we dont recommend the pension le lac bleu, it feels like a tourist trap the service being so bad
