a Tin story ....from a Town of Tin mine
this Tin Museum is a good museum to tell the whole story of this Bangka island and history of Tin mining in Indonesia. it is very important for this town. the governor of bangka island should support and promote to Tourists to visit here to learn how this town come from. History of Tin Mining from this Museum, mostly come from PT.Timah including the way to do a mining but they should update the way to doing a Tin mining. now they are using cutter suction dredgers to doing a mining in the sea it is good for tourists to visit here

    Well maintained
A walking distance from Centrum Hotel where I stay. This museum is a must to visit place when you want to learn tin industry and history in Bangka. The collection is fewer compare to my last visit few years back but it still a good place to spend few hours inside. Outside you can see example of buckets in many sizes, and many more historical tools for tim mining. Leaflet is available for your reference, printed in Indonesian and English. Open almost every day (incl weekend) from 8:00 till afternoon, except Friday.
