Pulau Pasir is about 45 minutes away by boat from Tanjung Kelayang beach, off Belitung Island. This island is special because during low tide in the morning, it will appear as a sandy island with nothing else on it. Come in the afternoon, when tide rises, it submerges. It is a firm favorite amongst island-hoppers.

Unexpectedly beautiful
Just.. beautiful. When i went there, the sand was covered with the water , so we swam there and the water was so clear and clean and the view was.. just too good to be true. Definitely gonna visit this place again - hopefully soon.

It's a lament that I didn't get a picture like I was in the middle of the sea and didn't spot any starfishes ): A beautiful shoal though, and typically disappears when it's high tide. PS: ask a friend to take a picture from the boat so that it looks like you're standing in the middle of the sea!!! ):
