A historical building converted into museum that shows the history of palembang, from the sriwijaya (srivijaya) era up to the sultanate of south sumatra. unfortunately it only open during office hours, which is half day on saturday and completely closed on sunday.

    Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Muzeum Palembang
    Colonial buidling converted to be an Histrorical Muzeum. History of Sriwijaya collections are in placed .. The most awesome seems to be Tour Guide, AbiSofian, who gave an unbeieveable briefing & informative on the history of Palembang. early days . Great to have him working here.Tourists could be glad to have him around. wonderful experience here.

    Good museum
    Just a small museum but the museum tour guide is awesome. He explained very details on the relic and the history. Good place to understand Palembang culture and history.
