Last June I visited the Andrea Hirata Museum. I am very happy to be there. There are lots of literary works of Andrea Hirata. filled with many colors on the walls make the place even more beautiful. this place is very good visit for tourists who like literature.

A contemporary style of Literary Museum found in a small village called Gantong
Belitong is famous as one of the must-visit island after Bali and Lombok. Especially after Laskar Pelangi the movie was released in 2008. This small island is so unique. Not only the magical granite that spread on the beaches in the west of Belitong but also Museum Kata Andrea Hirata that offers its contemporary art style in presenting the literary collections from all over the world. This place keeps growing and it seems that this museum has something going on every time I pay a visit. If you are lucky, you can meet the author himself in the museum. My favorite space is warung kupi kuli located right next to The Rainbow Troops Theater where Andrea Hirata and his students from the free school he builds in the museum usually do a jamming session. This coffee stall provides you a great taste of traditional coffee.

It's not a museum but it's worth comming
When you hear the word museum, you have certain expectations. This is not a museum in western style. Of course there are exibits about litearture and the famous author. There are other things to see. Be inspired or do you know how many laguages are spoken in Indonesia.
