Kelagian Island, Sumatra, Indonesia
4.0 (91 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Lampung Islands
Love every inch of it :)
I know, I'm a bit of beach freak, but Kelagian Island is indeed beautiful.. It takes around 30 - 40 minutes by boat from Ketapang port to reach this beautiful sandy beach. People usually take a round trip between islands of Pahawang, Pahawang Kecil and Kelagian. But Kelagian is less crowded, so it's just perfect for me and my family :). Boat can be rented from ketapang port, around 40 minutes from Bandar Lampung with the traffic, for around Rp 300.000 - 750.000,- depending on the size and time. The price for weekends and holidays can be slightly higher. Again, don't forget to take your food and drink supply, snorkeling gear, and any under-the-sun equipment you require :). The whole day just easily pass when you're enjoying your time here.

Nice beach but hardly any corals
We stopped here for a drink on the way back to Ketapang Jetty from Pulau Pahawang. After a great snorkelling at Pahawang we were dissapointed to find the condition of the corals here. So we opted to just laze around the beach for a quick drink. Used the beach shelter for a small 40k Rupiah and had kelapa muda (coconut juice). The water was not as clear as Pahawang but was relatively clean (we found some plastic rubbish embedded in the sand) underwater. We didn't explore the island. We came to conclusion to avoid weekends and public holidays because of its short distance to the jetty.

Fabulous Scenery
Unplanned trip to Kelagian with husband and 2 kids. Not like other beaches in Lampung, this one is quite clean, and there are dedicated responsible staffs. Scenery is amazing, and some water games are available, e.g banana boat. Unfortunately the washing room is just like commonly in other local beaches, very low standard in facility and hygiene.
