Great Little Museum, and Free

This museum was very informative, very good for young children, and everyone was so friendly. There's also a very small gift shop and a great little soda fountain. Our 7 year-old grandson was very entertained. There were several interactive exhibits that he really enjoyed.

    Great for kids
The museum has interesting displays of advertising memorabilia, vintage milk and cheese production equipment, and farm utensils/implements used in dairy farming. The hands-on question/answer blocks were interesting and would really be great for elementary school aged children. There is also "soda fountain" w/vintage counter w/stools, tables and chairs that prepares ice cream products (cones, banana splits, milk shakes) as well as lunch items. The chocolate ice cream is a rich, fudgey delight. Allow about 1/2 to 1 hour to see/read everything.

    What a pleasant surprise.
While traveling through northeast Texas, my sister and I stopped for linch on the square in Sulphur Springs. We decided to visit the Dairy Museum while there, and boy are we glad we did. This is a very, very nice museum (and we got free ice cream). We even learned some things about dairy cows, like why the phrase "contented cows".... Loved it and recommend it.
