One long stretch of malls,neon lights and traffic
This is the boulevard of Manado with the sea front on one side and a long stretch of malls and shophouses on another.It is a lively cacophony of music,car horns and people everyday but the neon lights and LED screens kick in after 6pm..In Manado it gets dark pretty early say Around 530pm.Yoi can find all conveniences from food, clothes,banks,hardwares and anything.Transport is easy...gojeks and microlets are everywhere.It is a good place to stroll and soak in the development of Manado with ample choices of a meal after that.It is well lit and pretty safe around the area.there are numerous police posts along the stretch.Its better to walk than drive as the traffic slows down quite a bit Cheers

once a 5-km road along the shore, with stunning view of Manado Tua island and the sunset
I remember 20 years ago Manado was very well known for its Boulevard road along the shore, no buildings, no malls built on the area that was once the ocean. it is so sad to know that the Boulevard has been overly commercialised with shopping arcade, cafes and restaurants.
