Even more amazing to visit during the sundays
Paulista avenue is iconic. The place is home to several museums, themed restaurants, shopping malls, a park and theaters, but my favorite part happens on Sundays. On this day, the avenue is closed to the passage of cars and becomes a concentration of the most diverse entertainment and street vendors. During the last few years I've been there there has always been a positive surprise and it's never the same. On sunny Sundays, singers and bands dominate the streets with the most diverse musical styles, we have outdoor exercise groups, cyclists, skaters and small street fairs and even outdoor art exhibitions. At certain times of the year, it hosts major street events such as Carnival and New Year. I'm determined to visit the Sesc viewpoint next time! I've never had a problem with security, but I'm a cautious person: I don't leave my phone too exposed, I avoid carrying and handling money on the street (I prefer to use a card or pix), I pay attention to the surroundings and keep an eye on the children so they don't stray too far.

Great place to visit when in São Paulo
About a mile long, this is the relatively safe and happening street in São Paulo with a lot of shops and local performers at night. On Sunday, the street is closed off to cars so it’s a big gathering place. Best to stay in hotel here when in São Paulo.
