    Stunning
    Stunning place to visit, if you know what to expect. The tickets for foreigners cost more than for the locals, and you can only pay cash. If you are ok with that, go and enjoy this absolutely stunning park. Make it your own journey, we walked it through without a guide or without any organised groups and we absolutely loved it. We saw many examples of fauna and flora as well as enjoyed amazing views. We visited the gardens just after a big rain and the air smelled wonderful. One of the best things to do in Rio.

    Take a break from the city!
    We just got back from our tour of the Botanical Gardens of Rio de Janiero. It was an amazing way to spend the morning. We really enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was in the middle of this bustling city of ten million people. I can not understand why anyone would rate this anything less than five stars. If you enjoy scenic landscapes, and like seeing interesting plants and animals, this is a can’t-miss.
