Totally bonkers and all dolled up for Christmas, our after dark stroll was an extravaganza. People dressed as reindeer, lights everywhere, someone butchering Guns N Roses on an acoustic guitar, and a full choir. Feliz Natal!

Praca da Liberdade at Christmastime
I was in Praca da Liberdade on December 29, 2014. It's a very large park near downtown Belo Horizonte and was filled with beautiful lights for the Christmas holidays. The variety of lights was amazing and every tree seemed to be decorated. The small pond in the park was surrounded with green shooting stars lights and was really beautiful. I felt the park was safe and a really great place to visit! We visited it from around 9:00 - 11:30PM and really enjoyed it!

Affordable place in Belo Horizonte
Praça da Liberdade is a good place to fell the history of Belo Horizonte. It's so old than the city, and you can find a lot of historic government buildings around, include the Liberty Palace and the Public Library. You can met too a famous place to taste a delicious sundae or sandwiches - Xodó snacks.
