    Salt Pond Beach
We visited Salt Pond Beach twice during our trip. Our first visit was in early afternoon and the beach was slightly crowded. Parking was limited but a few spaces were available. The second visit was in the morning around 9am and the beach was almost empty with plenty of parking available. We hiked the Ram Head Trail and on our return took a swim at the beach. Was nice to be able to cool off after the hike. Sea turtles were near the shore and the water was very clear.

Salt Pond has lots to see
During my trip last week the best reef with easy shore access is located around the rocks in the center of Salt Pond. This reef contained a wide variety of healthy looking coral and larger number of fish than other locations. We also so several turtles and a very large and fairly tame eagle ray in the front of the bay. I would recommend combining your trip to Salt pond along with a stop at Little and or Great Lameshur bay. If the weather allows be sure to get out to Yawzi point because there is some great coral out there as well.
