Great Venue for the Capital City
Prairie Capital Convention Center or PC3 in downtown Springfield is a venue home to a variety of events. It hosts everything from graduations, concerts, basketball games, and conventions. The University of Illinois basketball team played five games here in 2015. The PCCC went through a major renovation in 2014. It has a great layout for concerts. Recently, Chris Stapleton played in front of a sold out crowd. It is a great place for events in Springfield.

Nice center for state competitions
I've been here twice for state competitions for my kids and both times was a good experience. Clean bathrooms, nice seating, easy access and plenty of vendors for food if you wanted to grab a bite to eat.

Good location for a school dance competition. Lots of space.
Plenty of seating at the convention center to watch performances. Only negative I can state, is that they need hand railing for all the steps on the floor level seating, as I watched a friend's elderly parent tumble down the steps this weekend.
