One of the best roads in Romania
Compared to Transfagarasn road the asphalt here is simply amazing. There are no holes, no dirt or oil. The view is incredible and if you go with the motorcycle as i did you will put the day as "one of your best day on the bike". A lot of curves and so many stops where you can enjoy the nature.

It was a pleasure driving and stoping along the way for beautiful scenery
The "new" renovated road is one of the most side seeing roads in Romania even better than the last "king of the roads" aka Transfagarasan. On the road you can have a local snack from some of the numerous places along the way, some traditionally dishes and fruit of the season sold by local farmers. The road is a long one and not so easy for drivers. Take breaks for pictures and snack it will help get rid of fatigue.

Spectacular
Beautiful drive, spectacular scenery, excellent road. In my opinion, equally as good as the Transfagarasan... We drove it on a Friday and left Sebes at about 0930. There was very little traffic in either direction which was quite surprising. A few groups of motorcyclists. We took about 5 hours to get to our Horezu where we were staying but that included a lot of stops for photographs and just looking. The road is in excellent condition..there is about 200 metres of unsealed road at one point, but it is also in good condition. It's a very easy drive and the traffic we saw was all driving safely. I'm glad we came all this way to do the drive of a lifetimes.
