We learnt history
It was a delightful experience. We learnt some history about Duca an Greceanu. The only inconvenience was that some dogs desperately wanted to play with the guest and they started to be a little bit aggresive in their playing. But I definitely recommend to go there.

A piece of history
At the start of the visit, you don't know what exactly to expect, especially if you don't know where the word "Cula" (plural Cule) comes from. Cula comes from the Turkish word Kule, meaning tower, we were explained. And that puts you already on the path to distant history when Romanians where resisting the occasionally Turkish invasions. Everything in these fortified houses was strategically well thought, from the wooden door (single point of entry) to the arrow openings in the wall, pointing exactly to the gate. The guide is very knowledgeable and history comes to life when visiting this place. Not to be missed and the detour from the beaten road is worth while.
