Photogenic small fortress
Built in 1230, it had an overwhelming importance from the military point of view. In 1524 it is attacked and destroyed by Turkish troops led by Baliteg-Pasa. Severin Fortress or rather the ruins of the fortress are located in Dragalina park from Drobeta Turnu-Severin.

Well restored
There is not much to see or to do, but you get a feeling of the medieval citadel that was once present. Well restored, with some strong arches and a touch of modern glassware, you have the feeling of a secure walk around the ruins. All it needs is some shading from the hot South summer sun.

Not interesting, probably even misleading.
All I can see is that the town payed a lot of money for something that lacks even the basic information. This is supposed to be the oldest fortification in medieval Valahia. Who built it? When? Why? These are just walls that look like a playground.
