Interesting church, wish we could have seen the paintings closer up
I had read about the paintings in this church and was really looking forward to visiting. When we visited, while the church was open to enter the foyer, you couldn't actually go into the rest of the church to see the paintings well. It was a bit disappointing as I read about them. I had to just search for up close photos online to see them. That said, the outside was interesting to see as well as the ceiling of the church on the inside. Worth a visit. Maybe you can catch it when it is open!

Interesting church to visit
If you happen to be in Orsova, among other places I suggest to divert your path to this place. It has beautiful architecture. It is the ONLY catholic church build in Romania during the communist regime. The modern painting inside the church makes it particularly interesting. It was made by Gabriel Popa. For those who want to read more and see pictures about this monument search online for "Biserica Romano-Catolică Orsova"
