Quiet Beach

We visited the Clam Pass Beach on a recent visit to Naples. We had a good time at the beach. It was clean and fairly private with nice facilities. The water was warm in late March, which made for fun swimming. Note that it is actually not very easy to get to the beach. The parking lot is more than half a mile away from the beach area, and you do have to pay for parking. This would be a long walk, especially carrying supplies, but a shuttle was actually provided at no cost by the Naples Grande Beach Resort, which is in the area. Note that the shuttle has limited capacity, and there can be a significant wait to ride during busy times. There is a fee for renting chairs and umbrellas, which are provided by the resort. We locked out because we arrived late enough in the day that attendants didn't care that we used them without paying. Overall, I would recommend Clam Pass Beach for anyone looking for a fairly private beach experience in the Naples area.

    Beautiful Beach Spot!
High recommend this beach for any Naples local and visitor! $10 to park all day, lovely beach, lots of cool shells and plenty of beach for everyone! Me and my husband went and walked the beach looking for shells and found a neat little cove area about 1/4 mile from the beach restaurant. Highly recommend taking the FREE golf cart ride from the resort to and from the beach. Otherwise enjoy a nice 3/4 mile pier through a gorgeous swamp land. And I mean that we did walk once down it and it was beautiful but we definitely took the ride back! The water was fairly clear and we could see fish and even a manta ray swimming near us! The water was also super shallow and we could go out pretty far and still touch! I am 5’4 and went probably 100 feet out and it was waist deep! Little to no waves. I found lots a beautiful and neat shells! It was such a great beach we went 2 days in a row. As a beach local (from Virginia Beach). I highly recommend for any beach lover!! It was such a nice experience that next time we visit Naples we will be sure to visit again and again!

    Great beach for seniors
IF YOU ARE A SENIOR...or have mobility issues, this beach is great for you. It costs $8 to park and there are ten handicap spaces (We hear the parking will increase to $10 in January 2020) Wait for one of the trams to pick you up at the entrance to the boardwalk It is free, but you should tip a couple of dollars. You CAN walk, but it is truly a mile, and if you are carrying folding chairs or bags, it is long. It is very shady though, and if you get tired, the trams are allowed to pick you up along the way if they have the space. You will be deposited on the beach, at the Rhodes End, which is a comfort station with restrooms, a cafe, a small tiki bar, and plenty of tables and chairs, some in the shade. There is a wheel chair accessible ramp, or steps with handrails. Once on the beach, you will need to walk about 50 feet through soft sand, to get to the packed sand that is easier to walk on. About 3/10s of a mile up the beach, to your right, is an estuary, which is very interesting. At low tide, it is mostly tide pools filled with sea critters, and at high tide, watch the kayakers. A jetty of sand serves as a resting place for sea birds of all kinds and you can often see murmerations, when they lift off, glide around and resettle. Look up across the estuary to see a nesting pair of bald eagles. Food here is decent, but high priced. We paid $5 for a water bottle, $18 for a burger, and so on... This is the best beach in Naples, and worth seeking out.
