Old Jakobstad
Skata is area where all old Houses are located very near to city centre. The houses and area is nicely preserved in their actual condition so the visitors can have the privilege to see how old Finnish houses and streets used to be. The houses are painted in various pestal colour shades and really looks beautiful. Great location to have a peaceful walk around skata and admire the history.

Idyllic small town vibe
Skata (aka Norrmalm/Pohjoisnummi) is the old part of the Jakobstad city. It dates back to 18th century. It's really idyllic and picturesque with all the small wooden houses and unpaved streets. Definitely a great place to have a walk.

Skata is the Original Jakobstad
It's streets are lined with old buildings, and the streets are still unpaved. Skata has retained what Jakobstad looked like and is still a very living community. It's houses are a fivne example of what the towns looked like before in this part of Finland. Delightful and peaceful and now being cared for and carefully restored. An architectual gem
