A brief look at Viking history
This was part of a package trip for us that included visits to Rosala and Bengtskar. The Viking Center portion included access to the various displays and exhibits on the premises, a 7 minute video (available in English) on the Viking religion and lunch in a Viking-like hall. The lunch that was included was a local recipe (not viking-related) and very good. It was set in a dining hall that tries to simulate the viking look and feel. There were other drinks (bottled beer and locally brewed beer) and snacks that were also available for sale. The other exhibits were interesting, the most fun being the one where you can try on the equipment. Others were static exhibits with some simple information. The 1.5 hours we spent was enough to cover everything including lunch.

Viking Centre was ok, but service was not
The Viking Centre was ok, but service was not. We were shopping souveniers in the main building and asked jokingly if we could get it with 20€ sharp. the lady behind the desk said that she doesnt like us enough to give 2€ discount. We left with very mixed feelings. We would have not paid anything if that would have happened in the very start of our visit.

Disappointing
A fairly lackluster visit. You get a map that makes the place to fairly large and entertaining- in reality it's overgrown with grass and nettles. The food was pretty tasteless but, at least, the hall was nice looking. A bit of TLC would go a long way- although they may be working on a tight budget- who knows? I wouldn't go again.
