Karhuvuori mountain

In the forests of Rymättylä, Naantali, on the island of Aaslaluoto rises the small mountain of Karhuvuori. In the year 1938 a look out tower was built on the mountain to spot the ships and airplanes of the enemy during the Winter and Continuation wars. Years later the tower burnt down, but later on it was rebuilt to the same place. To the mountain rises quite steep paths. The paths are marked, and you can reach the mountain from two directions. From the direction of Hanka and the direction of the Hämmärönsalmi ferry. On a hot day a water bottle is a good idea because the mountain rises 63 m up from the sea level. From the top can see the stunning view to sea in the east, the Seili island on south and islands and reefs belonging to Rymättylä in the west.
