    Interesting museum
The museum is located right in the Turku centre, very easy to reach for example by foot. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, a perfect balance to the busy city. Wonderful authentic ruins below the city, an old street is even beautifully continued outside. It is possible to buy a ticket to the whole museum or just to the archeological / art section.

    Two museums in one!
The entrance price gets you into what is essentially two different museums. The art museum portion on the upper floors had some really interesting modern pieces while the lower floor was the historical portion with ruins from medieval Turku, which was my favourite as there was a lot of information to learn and everything was well preserved and fun to explore. Would also be good for kids as there were several interactive activities as you walked around as well as a story to follow about life in Turku during this era. This museum would be worth the price if it was just the medieval section, but to have the great art upstairs is a huge bonus.
