Old wooden church, repair designed by Alvar Aalto is located along the road 62 between Puumala and Mikkeli. Alvar Aalto designed the church repair in 1926. The interior walls were covered with mirror panels, the altar was renewed and the altarpiece replaced with crucifix and candle arrangement designs also by Aalto. It is worth of visit.
