Palatul Brâncovenesc, Southern Romania, Romania
4.5 (14 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #1 in Dambovita County History Museums
A relaxing, beautiful palace , a piece of Romanian history close to Bucharest.I recommend the tour guide Elena Stegher.
The site is worth visiting because it was built by one of the most important rulers of Wallachia, Constantin Brancoveanu , a promoter of arts and culture. During his time the Romanian(Brancovenesc) architectural style was contoured. What I especially loved about the site was the way it was carefully renovated and the fact that once you enter there you are offered a guided tour which is included in the 10 lei ticket price.

Great history lesson
The palace from Potlogi is easy to come by if you are travelling on the A1 highway. The price to visit is relatively cheap, plus the ticket booth also has a small amount of souvenirs. It's admirable that the place was restored after it was practically a ruin. The palace offers replicas of the old objects or unoriginal items from that era ( so still old objects, but not originally from the palace) and also a few patrimony items which are worth seeing. The gardens are also a nice place to walk around and maybe take some pictures. You can also take picutes at all the exibits. Take care to visit the church also, it's beautiful. Too bad the place is not that well advertised.

Gardens in the sun
We really enjoyed visiting the domain. Everything is clean and there is so much space. The guided tour is appropriate for everyone and it brings you closer to history. I enjoyed walking in the gardens and visiting the church. Entrance is 10 lei for adults and 5 for students.
