Fantastic little local ethnographic museum.
A fantastic little museum of local artisanal crafts, clothing and artwork. We were given a personal tour by a volunteer who was brought in ad hoc as he spoke English. The building is exceptionally beautiful, and it’s exhibits were very interesting. I’d recommend anyone who visits Campulung Muscel to visit this fantastic museum.

The oldest house in town
This is one of my favourite places in Campulung Muscel. Also known as "The Stefanescu Villa", after the local noble family that owned it, it's the oldest house/viila in town. Build in the 18th century, it has been wonderfully preserved. Go inside and take a look at how a house from that period looked like. Take a few moments to enjoy the porch from the first floor and discover the small on the walls or the way the wood was carved. The interior is worth your time, too. You will find all sorts of pots and plates, locally hand made, in small villages around Campulung. The traditional attire - for both women and men - impress through the geometrical patterns and the gald and silver threads. And let's not forget the room filled with traditional carpets - some of them are 200 years old but the colors are vivid and the material is intact.

Beautiful museum, excellent collection of art and folk
The museum is hosted by an original boyar mansion from the XVII century and is really a must visit if you travel to Campulung. They have a beautiful collection of folk art objects from amazing popular/folk costumes specific for Muscel region (it is said there are the most beautiful in the country being so the reason they werethe mansion itself worth a visit. preferred by Queen Maria), potery and other folk objects.
