Imre Nagy was a Hungarian communist politician leading the 1956 Hungarian revolution. After the Russian military intervention in Budapest, Nagy was arrested by the Soviet forces as he was leaving the Yugoslav Embassy and taken to Snagov. He wrote "Insemnarile de la Snagov" (Notes from Snagov) - which makes him the first relevant top eastern political communist leader - facing Russian regime
