Lovely monastery but unfriendly monks

The place is well worth a visit, not far from the city center of Bucharest by taxi or bus. It is extremely clean, and the residence of the monks is luxurious. It seems that most of them are more concern by donations and gastronomy (try to peep in their wall painted canteen, it is splendid) than by religion. There is a beautiful lake next to the monastery. Don't miss that place when you visit Bucharest!

    iWas there, a favorite praying place outside the city
    a quiet area, surrounded by water, all the complex lies on a peninsula it worth to walk till the end of the ground, where a bench is waiting for you the church, with a history of more than 400 years, is waiting also, to receive the pilgrims a lot of green, a lot of colours some food (inside made) products are available, it worth to try

    Sleeping into the Cemetery!
    One of the most strange nights spent in my life! The rooms are along the cemetery. You are inside a very beautiful green area. Very quite place! Anyway, we slept very well without any ghost problem. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast and walking in the garden we could admire a very old oak (Quercus robur). Asking to the monks, they told 500 years old!
