Amazing views once above the clouds. Highly recommended.
When I was there, last week in mid April, it was not busy at all. No queue. The cable car therefore runs presumably less often, but I'm not sure. The price I found quite high; 80 LEI (16 euros) for a one-way trip, 150 LEI for a return. There were about 7 people in the cabin on my way up. It's an old cable car, but still runs smoothly. The views from a certain height, after passing through some clouds, were amazing. What a landscape: everything still covered in a lot of snow and once above the clouds, the sun is so enormously bright you cannot see proper than through a good pair of sun glasses. An amazing world of mountains, snow and sun awaits you. It is totally worth the price, I would highly recommend doing this. Only downside is, of course, that you cannot keep 1,5 m distance during COVID times.

Stunning view, expensive ride
Easy and stunning ride up to the Bebele (2200 meters) but for Romanian price standard quite expensive Bisteni – Babele 90 RON. Everything went smoothly, we were on of the first to ride, at that time no queues. Not the modern or state of the art cable but it did the job.

Amazing landscapes / bad management
The view is amazing, the sensation from the cablecar is also amazing (we spot mountain goats), but the waiting time is horrible. Now because of covit only 9 people are allowed so we waited to board like 7-8 hours (4 down - 4 up), but it depeds on, maybe you will be luckier. We were on vacation, if you are with someone and you have some food and water the waiting won t bother you that much. The views are amazing, you can hike and to the big Iron Cross (Heroes Monument) and you wont regret a minute. Have fun!
