    Center of Tissamaharama
    Said to have been built in 3rd century BC with the purpose of irrigating the paddy fields around the area. Today it's a key point of attraction to both local and foreign tourists who visits Tissamaharama. Part of the lake is built to facilitate as a walking area and the other side consists of a number of hotels and resorts.
