    A really unique experience
One of the if not THE BEST experience we had on Sri Lanka! The Hatchery is a little hidden 30 meters off the main road. For a donation of 2000rps you get to see all the turtles. Everything you want to know will be kindly explained to you in good English. If you want to you can ask to touch the beautiful animals. If available there is the unique opportunity to release some of the newborns into the ocean! They are doing a great work and solely depend on donations. It’s a really good feeling spending the money for such a heartwarming institution. Thank you very much for this wonderful afternoon!

    Really good rescue center
This turtle rescue center is a really great one! They have big tanks for turtles who are injured by a shark, a boat or plastic. The owner take really well care of them, you can see it by how clean it is. They also tell the visitors to take photos of them but not to touch them because it's not good for them turtles, especially when you got lotion or something similar on your hands. My favorite part is that they also have a place for the eggs and where they raise the baby turtles until they are ready to go to the sea. The entrance is about 1000lkr but if you booked an appointment online and came by TukTuk, it can be around 2000lkr because they also have to pay the driver. In general I would really recommend going here, spend your time with the turtles and help the center :)
