Vanha Paukku has several interesting targets. The museums offer a great knowledge package of the old cartridge factory that used to operate here. For the first time in my life I actually felt INTERESTED in whatever there was on display, points for that! I had no chance to see any performances in the theatre but I have heard that its worth it. Also the river cruise was not operating, but the ferry stood out for its looks! The art and camera exhibitions were quite tempting alike. Culture people will love this place in full scale.

A culture center in an old ammunition factory
We had a short visit to this center with our relatives. The location used to be an ammunition factory that exploded in the 1970s with catastrophic results. Forty people died. This culture center is built on the remains of the factory and depicts the history of the factory as well as modern culture in the area. The center also has the city library of the town Lapua within the center.

Brilliant industrial mileau re-development
A very nice place to visit at Lapua. Re-developed industrial site has an interesting history. At present it hosts boutiques, art museum, theatre, cafeteria, chapel, library etc.
