So beautiful
The Aalto Center in Seinäjoki is something so uniwue in Finland. It is really the place to visit. The Church with surroundings and the tower, Town Hall with dark blue walls, bew library and the City Theather. The theather has a restaurant with very tasty buffer lunch!

Architecture you gotta see
If you appreciate finnish architecture you gotta see this! It's a big slice of the cake of architectural history in Seinäjoki including six buildings: - Church "Lakeuden Risti" (1960) - City Hall (1962) - Library (1965) - Parish Center (1966) - Civic Center (1968) - Theater (1987) I've been living in this town my whole life so gotta give some honor for it. Glad if this brings even one tourist to see this architectural ensemble! http://www2.seinajoki.fi/english/tourism/alvar_aalto_in_seinajoki/alvar_aalto_in_seinajoki.html

An architectural gem of Aalto!
This is the only complete area in the world designed by the world famous architect and the creator of modern functionalism! Aalto center has several buildings designed by Alvar Aalto. It's hard to believe that some of these buildings were actually designed already in the 50's, since they are ultra modern still today! Born in this region, Aalto got some of his ideas from the real life. For example the city hall looks like a grand piano. The church tower, is actually the only tall building ever designed by Aalto. While visiting here, also don't miss the brand new Apila library! That building is not designed by Aalto, but it has also participated to several international architectural competitions with a good success. Most likely, it is the most beautiful library in the world!
