Nice place to visit and one of the few places open when I was in Oaxaca

It's the museum full of the stamps all over the world. Besides many artworks and stamps collections, it has nice view inside. In the collection room, you can look up lots of collections for many countries including the ones of my country. There is no admission fee and you only have to store your bags in a locker. At least when I visited Oaxaca, this museum was only one that was open in the city.

    Creative stamp museum
I used to collect stamps as a kid, but I'm not that avid a collector. However I was impressed by the set up of this stamp museum. They are very creative in how they have set up the space and I think they do a good job of making it interesting even for those that aren't really into the subject material. It's in a beautiful space and there are a number of rooms to it was well as a courtyard area. Bags are not allowed inside, so my husband and I took turns going inside. The first room has a VW Beetle which has been artistically covered in stamps. There is another room full of metal display cabinets which has an impressive collection of stamps to peruse as well as a number of letters hand written by Frida Kahlo. Among their stamp collection is a Penny Black, which I later read was the first type of adhesive postal stamp in the world. The courtyard area is beautiful and flows through to a couple more rooms and it looks like they're working on adding more rooms to the museum area. There is also a room near the entrance which has a map of the world with various stamps of those countries on display. It's free entry and they have bathrooms on site.

Letters from Frida Kahlo to her Gynecologist ?!
Really a fun museum, full of history, correspondence and stamps. Lots of stamps. A really lovely property, with pools and courtyards. The price is right (free), but they won't refuse a small donation. Don't miss it.
