Maguey Bay
My wife and I have spent many Incredible Days at Maguey Bay. We have arrived at this bay by water and by road. When you arrive by water, it is usually easier to find a restaurant because you will be escorted to the place picked by the boat driver. However, if you arrive by car... There will be many people at the top of the hill that will attempt to get you to their restaurant. Our way to bypass this confusion was to simply say the name...Porfirio. That simple word Would part the waves every time. From that point it was a simple 67 steps down and straight down the cement sidewalk to a restaurant called el costeno. Every day we were greeted with a handshake and smiling face. No charge for loungers no charge for tables. Just spend a day at the beach enjoying what this beautiful place has to offer. We have been coming. To Huatulco for 13 years And this is our favourite Beach. We cherish the friends that we have made at this beach. Thanks Porfirio Cortez.

Great place to spend the day
The taxi from La Crucesita to Maguey is 70 pesos (per February, 2020 prices). We usually like to go out in the morning, book a massage, spend time on the beach and in the water, and have drinks and lunch at El Costeño. But there are a number of restaurants to choose from. The beach and restaurants tend to get busier after 2:00 pm with the tour boat passengers. By that time we are ready to go home. Taxis for the return trip are easy to get.
