The museum is unique in Romania. The museum has a very good guide explaining details about amber mines and their history. The museum is worth visiting.

The Amber Museum
A nice museum to be visited if you are in the area. The last 5 km of the road is very poor, be prepared with lot of patience :) The guide is well prepared and you can also buy amber. Enjoy!

Interesting peek in the history of amber
The museum is very small (just 3 rooms of exhibits), but you get to find out about the history of amber, which is quite interesting. Here you can see the only black amber in the world and a 2 kg block of amber. The guide is very knowledgeable and entertaining and you can buy some jeweled souvenirs made of amber to take home to loved ones.
