The church with the most beautiful ceiling

We ended up visiting this church after looking for places to visit near the Danube Delta. Based on the research it looked like there are efforts to revive the site, but currently it's a unique anomaly built buy German settlers in the area, apparently the tallest German church in that part of Romania. It was significantly damaged in the last hundred years or so, so from a structural perspective it's more or less just the foundations and walls. And rounded brick pillars. Those were neat. When we got there, there were a couple tending the grounds and I asked if it was safe to enter. Inside, I couldn't get over the sun shining down upon me within the walls, sort of a surreal effect, so I just sat on the steps to what was once presumably the altar and enjoyed the day. It was a gorgeous day with the trees and flowers in bloom, visible beyond the building shell. For reference, there was no furniture or seats as such, there are quite a few pigeons in the tower, but the ground was pretty well maintained considering. It's worth a boo if you are in the area.
