An astonishing place
Caraorman Forest was one of the most impressive places which I visited. There you can find four 400 years old oaks and other interesting plants which are growing on sands. I have seen deers, wild horses, different birds, but the silence and the purity of the air was the cherry on the cake.

The reserve is worth visiting
The boat ride wasn't that exciting. There is an abandoned glass works and several residencial buildings, also abandoned, surreal. This settlement is on a sand island. Get a four wheel drive through the reserve, one of the highlight of our visit to danube delta. The four wheel drive needs to be pre-arranged by your accomodation in advance.
