Small art museum
This museum shows Finnish art from the 1850s to the present. It is located in an old 18th-century barracks of Lappeenranta Fortress. On our visit, the exhibition was more contemporary.

A chance to see and explore Finnish art
With an entrance fee of 8 euros there's a chance to open the authentic world of finnish art. On the territory of the complex (of the fortress) there are several museums, orthodox church, monument to the Russian-Swedish battle in 1741 after which local autority came from sweds to russians. I liked re-enactors whom I met once in summer on the territory, they were wearing traditional finnish clothers and were busy with some old times occupations. Also there's a wonderful view from the top of the hill to a bay wit boats and yachts.

Sirkka-Liisa Lonka - A Retrospective
A small museum which we had all to ourselves when we visited in May. A good place to visit if you are interested in the particular exhibition on display at the time.
