Beautiful walk in the Finnish countryside
The total length of this well-marked trail is about 20km, but there are shorter sections of it that can be walked easily. The trail is well-marked with blue paint and guideposts and follows forest paths and driveable forest roads. Parts of the trail give a great view of Lake Saimaa. The trail is not difficult, mostly level or on a slight grade, but nothing really serious. Bits of it are rough, and hiking boots are needed through muddy bits. There are two lean-to shelters which also have campfire sites and a toilet. The trail is only accessible during the snow-free season, though the shelters can be used in the winter.
