    The oldest Orthodox church in Finland
    This charming church can be found at the Lappeenranta Fortress. It was completed in 1785 during the reign of Catherine the Great. The church was closed during our visit. So we couldn't see the interior.

    A beautiful little church in the old fortress
    The Lappeenranta Orthodox church is a compulsory attraction simply because of its historical significance. It is also a beautifully preserved and lovely place to take a short break to enjoy the peaceful and serene ambiance inside.
