Decent all-round shopping centre
De Bogaard had its glory days in the seventies when people would come from surrounding cities like Delft to shop. Then after a big fire it started declining. Currently it is in a somewhat revived state, mostly thanks to the presence of a big Mediamarkt electronics shop and an Albert Heijn XL. Plus many other shops including Hema and McDonalds. It is flanked by the municipality office and a posh new apartments complex in the former tax collectors office. Paid parking galore.

The good times are gone
There are still two Supermarkets and several shops. However , a lot of shops disappeared. For grocery shopping still good and also to have a drink or something to eat afterwards.

Getting worse
Struggling shopping center with many shops going bankrupt. Instead of making shopping in the center more attractive the free parking area have been replaced with paid parking which makes this place even worse. Comparing to nearby shopping centers in de Bogaard is not the place to be anymore.
