Goud der Goden - Fabulous
We had no plans to go to this museum when we visited Rotterdam, but what a delight when we were walking in the Veerhavn area to see the building on a corner of the harbor. Goud der Goden is one of the finest exhibitions I have ever seen -- beautiful objects presented in excellent installation, plus a fine audio self-guided tour in English. It ranks with the great Scythian gold show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art a few years ago. Take the train to Rotterdam and do not miss this show -- once in a lifetime. The museum has a lovely cafe with inspired menu, and a beautifully designed shop. You will find it altogether a wonderful experience.

the world in a glance
This is possibly the best museum I have ever visited. I was truly impressed with the diversity of the exponates - from all over and from all the periods of time.
