one of the things that helped me decide to live here...
especially now, all these years later, that i can understand so MANY of them, since i speak a number of lingos...(a diluted form of the word 'lengua'...them gringos pollute EVERYthing they CAN! ; - ) but some of them write beautiful poetry...along with soooo many poems from all over the world...not 'just dutch'...some of which are pretty damn good(i was a prized poet at 19...let's just say i'm older than that now...even if dylan already said it...ok? ; - ) i told my two real close dutch friends that EYE wanted one of MY poems on a wall...but mark said i'd have to die first...i hope that wasn't some sort of trick? opinions gladly accepted... btw...slow down and smell the poems... OR...if you can't read 'THIS'...you're movin too fast...

Fascinating and photogenic
It's lovely to stumble across these poems, quotes and proverbs in various different styles, languages and media as you wander round Leiden. There's probably a trail map, but we found it fun to just stumble across them unexpectedly as we explored the town.
