Gothic style brick tower; spectacular viewpoint
For ages -until 1911- the tower served as a lighthouse. On the first floor there is an interesting exhibition about lighthouses as well as of the history of the Goedereede tower. Originally the Gothic style tower, completed in 1512, was attached to a church that fell into disrepair and was demolished at the end of the 1600s. The small Dutch reformed church nearby was built in 1706. The view from the top of the tower is spectacular.

The Church Tower of Goedereede
We passed this Torenmuseum when we walked to the windmill "De Windvang". It was quite early, round noon and the museum was not open yet ( 1.30 pm). We didn't wait as we're on the way to Goes. This tower was used to be a church tower. And as usual, we always took a walk around the church.
