A Must See In Leiden 25 minutes from Amsterdam
This is a brilliant, unique evening of theatrical genius. The audience sits on a circle of seats that rotates to an outer ring where the sets are placed so we move from one scene to another with a fluidity and excitement of the motion of the play. The Soldier of Orange is epic in scope and an important cultural addition to Dutch History. It is based on the film of the same name which stands out like Casablanca in American culture. Although the dialogue is in Dutch, there is an excellent translation in the playbill that makes it very clear who and what is happening. just the experience of the show is worth going but because it is a great story, you can't help but get involved emotionally.

This is a very nice show about WWII in the Netherlands
The specially build theatre in Katwijk in an old hangar of an ex military airstrip is from the outset a good place to have this event. the show is good, fast scene changes (unique turning audience seats, the stages are fixed, the audience spins around to the next scenes) and nice lyrics. I recommend for a special event to go and enjoy and engineers like me will enjoy the unique techniques shown/ used as well as the show itself !
