Excellent trip into history

The museum is located in an old bunker and split into two parts. The first part introduces the history of the bunker from the building of it until the end of the war. As part of the Atlantikwall it saw use by the germans until 1945, and this part is shown in a compact way. Other museums have better and more extensive collections, but it is still possible to get a good impression. The second part is much more interesting: it deals with the cold war and the function as a nuclear fallout shelter. Old materials are lovingly preserved and presented by the volunteers. You can feel the excitement of the old days... If you're lucky and visit on 'Monuments Day', there may be reenactments on the outside terrain, we had a very nice camp of 'DDR-soldiers'. Will definitely visit again!
